A new attraction has opened up right down the street from the Historic Gatlinburg Inn, and if you grew up in the 80’s (like the author of this review) then you are going to LOVE this place! It’s called the Red Rocket Retro Arcade.
This place is exactly what you would expect from its name: nothing but arcade video games and pinball machines from the 1980’s (and some from the 90’s).
From Galaga to Defender, all of the classics are represented here.
If you’re into pinball, then you will love the row of beautiful pinball machines available for play.
All of the games here are in beautiful condition, so this venue is as much museum as it is an arcade. Even if you don’t play, it is worth checking out just for the view.
It’s also a great bargain because for a flat rate you can play all day. So if video games are your thing, or you are just nostalgic about this kind of thing, then you MUST check this place out!
It is located right on the Parkway in a building that is completely opened up to the street. From our front door, walk to the street and turn right. You’ll be there in no time at all.
