HISTORY
Experience 86 years of history and tradition at the Historic Gatlinburg Inn. Since its inception in 1937 the Historic Gatlinburg Inn has grown to become one of the most iconic landmarks and hotels in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Located on the parkway in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, the Inn is just steps away from attractions, shopping and fine dining. We are also just minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

COMFORT
Featuring 70 rooms, which include everything from two double beds, king beds and an assortment of specialty suites, the Gatlinburg Inn offers accommodations for all occasions and all seasons. Newly renovated with new carpeting, draperies, Serta Perfect Sleeper beds, 42” flat screen televisions, coffee makers, irons and ironing boards, our hotel offers clean, comfortable and tastefully appointed surroundings. Also included is a complimentary full hot breakfast each morning, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel.
CULTURE
The Historic Gatlinburg Inn has been designated a Tennessee Music Pathways destination for its role in Tennessee’s music history.
The legendary Tennessee state song, Rocky Top, was written here by Felice and Boudleaux Bryant in 1967 in Room 388, a room we now call the Rocky Top Room (which is available for reservations).
The Historic Gatlinburg Inn is a songwriting mecca that is still visited by some of the top songwriters to this day for inspiration.


BREAKFAST
Here at the Historic Gatlinburg Inn, we take great pride in treating our guests to a true taste of Southern hospitality, which starts with a fine, big breakfast in the morning. We think we have the best breakfast in Gatlinburg – and we’re serious about it!
You can treat yourself to made-from-scratch biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and more. Penn’s country ham is served on Sundays. Or if you just want something quick like a bowl of cereal or a muffin, we’ve got that too. Breakfast is served ’til 10:00AM and is free for our guests.

Located on the Parkway, and walking distance to all downtown attractions, the Historic Gatlinburg Inn is the place to stay. Our Inn provides a unique experience with its historic charm that provides a nice respite from the hustle of downtown Gatlinburg.
