From the Gatlinburg Songwriters Board of Directors
Thank you to everyone who helped make our last two years a big hit!
We have been so fortunate to have had the best songwriters, volunteers, sponsors, and patrons supporting our festival. We are hoping to continue in some fashion but are making some immediate and necessary changes for this year.
The Gatlinburg Songwriters Festival is a 501c3 non-profit and requires financial support through sponsorships, donations, and local business participation. Several former sponsors (and venues) are using 2023 as their renovation year. While this is understandable and important for them, their lack of support makes it impossible to hold our festival in the same manner.
The Gatlinburg Inn has been our biggest supporter throughout the years and just like all of you, would like to see GSF continue. For 2023, GSF will present “The Gatlinburg Inn Songwriter’s Series” August 18th & 19th. Please mark your calendars accordingly and make plans to attend!
We owe a sincere debt of gratitude to Cara Graham Hogan, who worked tirelessly and unselfishly to make our last 2 years so successful. She often did the work of 10 people and handled all situations with grace.
We are deeply saddened that we will not have the resources to keep her on the team, as she was such a crucial asset to our event. We will miss Cara’s energy, insight, experience, and valuable talent.
Please be patient with us as we traverse these next steps. Clearly, this is all very challenging and new.
It is our intention to get this festival back to its original format as soon as we are able.
Your loyalty and support are so important to us, and we do not take any of that for granted.
Without you, there is no GSF.
If you have already signed up for a 2023 membership, your fees will be refunded as soon as possible.
