The Historic Gatlinburg Inn is not your typical cookie cutter hotel. It is the oldest hotel in Gatlinburg and is FILLED with history. You’ve read our discussion about the writing of Rocky Top, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. The Inn remains a songwriting mecca visited by top songwriters.
The decor has remained loyal to Gatlinburg’s past for the most part, with modern features blended in for our guests’ comfort. And every room is a little bit different. And so today we want to take you inside a corner suite on the first floor, Room 120.
Room 120 connects via the bathroom to the room next door. If you are traveling with a group that requires more than one room, this is an excellent choice.
The room features the vintage decor referenced above, with traditional wood paneling and the beautiful gold chair you find in most of our rooms.
Step onto the balcony and you have a great view of the Gatlinburg SkyLift and SkyLift Park at the top of Crockett Mountain. We are located right next door to the SkyLift, so if you want to get to the top of the mountain, it is easy to do from here.
Every room at the Historic Gatlinburg Inn is unique, so if you don’t make it into Room 120, no worries – whatever room you get will be unique and filled with history. You will love it!
And don’t forget another huge advantage to staying with us – the best breakfast in Gatlinburg served free to our guests!
