We have begun the task of digitizing some of the photos in our archives. We think it is absolutely fascinating to look back at old photos like these, especially if you compare them to what Gatlinburg looks like today. You could say the town has changed a little bit! While we’re at it, we are also doing some digital enhancement that really brings the photos to life. A sample of the photos are shown below for your enjoyment. These are from the year 1972.
In the first one below, we left half of the photo unenhanced so you can see the difference (thank you Photoshop!). We will be posting more of these as we get them scanned, so check back soon!
