If you’re looking for a good time and a laid back place to get a bite to eat, then may we suggest Three Jimmy’s Good Time Eatery?

Three Jimmy’s is located on the East side of town on the back side of the shopping center at the corner of E. Parkway and Glades Road. at the edge of the Arts and Crafts community.

Upon entering, you walk by their butcher shop and kitchen where the staff is serving up fresh, homemade comfort food. The restaurant has a menu that includes chicken wings and tenders, sandwiches and burgers, artisan pizzas, and sides like baked beans and their famous smoked Gouda macaroni and cheese.

Your reviewer ordered the King James sandwich, which consists of four ounces of tender, dry rubbed, slow smoked beef brisket; cheddar cheese; onion crispers; pickles and barbecue sauce on a brioche bun. I had company on this day, and my fellow reviewer ordered the traditional cheese burger, with lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickle on a brioche bun. Both of our meals were served with steak fries.

I was told that the burger was perfect. I would describe the King James sandwich as a pile of greasy goodness. If you are a brisket lover, there is no way you won’t like this sandwich. If you’re a health nut it probably is not for you! The brisket was well-cooked with a nice crisp edge. It is a well-constructed sandwich. The steak fries tasted like steak fries should with good crunchiness.

Service was friendly and the place has a cool vibe to it. The interior houses a quaint stage for local music. We’re not sure if live entertainment has resumed, so check with the restaurant about that. The restaurant even has an outdoor dining area for those warmer days.

The only thing we don’t like about Three Jimmy’s is that it is probably too far for many people to walk from the Historic Gatlinburg Inn. But if you find yourself on that part of town (driving through the Arts and Crafts loop, for example) then this would be a great place to stop by for a delicious, greasy classic American meal.
