Situated at 745 Parkway, right next to the Historic Gatlinburg Inn, Tropical Smoothie Cafe has recently opened its doors, offering a fresh and vibrant dining option for both locals and visitors. ​

Ambiance and Service

The cafe’s interior is notably clean and orderly, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Patrons place their orders at the counter, and the service is both quick and efficient, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a swift yet satisfying meal.​ There’s a great big sign on the wall that describes the attitude of the place. It starts:

Tropical Smoothie Cafe was born on a beach.
There was no art on the walls, because we had no walls.
The view was all the art we needed.
The first blender was almost as loud as the music.
Etc.

In other words, this shop was born in the Caribbean and still retains that Caribbean attitude. Personally, I love it.

Menu Highlights

Tropical Smoothie Cafe is renowned for its extensive menu, featuring made-to-order smoothies, wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, salads, and more. During my visit, I indulged in the Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap, a flavorful combination of grilled chicken, rice, black beans, cheddar, roasted pineapple salsa, romaine, and jerk sauce. The wrap offered a harmonious blend of spicy and sweet flavors, with the jerk sauce providing a pleasant kick balanced by the sweetness of the pineapple salsa.​

To complement the wrap, I selected the Jetty Punch smoothie, a refreshing blend of strawberries and bananas. The smoothie was both delicious and invigorating, enhancing the overall dining experience. Notably, the cafe offers a promotion where smoothies are half-priced when ordered with a meal. So obviously, I ordered a smoothie! And, as expected, it was fantastic.

Beyond wraps and smoothies, the cafe’s menu boasts a variety of options to cater to diverse tastes. From breakfast items like the Peanut Butter Banana Crunch Flatbread to bowls such as the Acai Bowl topped with Nutella®, there’s something for everyone. The cafe also provides amenities like free Wi-Fi, delivery services, and in-store pickup, ensuring convenience for all guests. ​

For guests of the Historic Gatlinburg Inn and other visitors, Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers a delightful and convenient dining option. It is literally RIGHT NEXT DOOR. You could sit on our porch and hit it with a rock (although we don’t recommend throwing rocks at the other local businesses). So whether you’re in the mood for a nutritious smoothie, a hearty wrap, or a light snack, this cafe caters to a wide array of preferences. Everything tasted great and it has a laid back vibe you will like.
